Prompt Writeup
To make the two new versions of my resume, I used simple prompts that told the AI exactly what I needed. For example, I asked it to “rewrite my resume for a marketing job” and “rewrite my resume for an operations or logistics job.” I also asked it to focus on the same experience I already have but to describe it in a way that fits each industry better. The marketing version highlights communication, promotion, and working with people. The operations version focuses more on safety, organization, and handling busy or detailed tasks.
The main thing that changed between the original and the AI versions was the wording. The job duties stayed the same, but the AI emphasized different skills depending on the industry. It helped me see how the same job can sound different when you focus on different strengths.
From this assignment, I learned that prompt engineering is really about being clear and specific. When I gave the AI direct instructions, the results were much better. It also showed me why tailoring content matters, because different audiences look for different skills.
